KUALA LUMPUR<\/span>:<\/address>\n

The LaLaport Transportation Hub, launched today at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, will be used by about 30 bus operators as a key transit hub here, particularly for cross-border KL-Singapore bus services.<\/p><\/div>\n

The hub will offer dedicated shuttle van services to KLIA Terminals 1 and 2, as well as on-demand shuttle service linking key locations in the city centre.<\/p>\n

The hub is located on LG1 at LaLaport\u2019s East Atrium and operates 24 hours a day, with 11 bus bays.<\/p>\n

Federal territories minister Hannah Yeoh, who officiated the launch, said the project has significant potential for the city.<\/p>\n

\u201cAround 3,000 to 10,000 people visit the city daily, and I hope there are many more opportunities (to improve mobility) going forward,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Yeoh suggested allowing some stores around the hub in LaLaport to extend their operating hours to serve the 24-hour flow of passengers.<\/p>\n

The launch was also attended by Land Public Transport Agency deputy director (development) Azrin Borhan, Kuala Lumpur mayor Fadlun Mak Ujud and Japanese ambassador Noriyuki Shikata.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
