After the first wave of launches in select markets back in late June 2026, OPPO<\/b> has finally brought the OPPO Reno16 5G <\/b>and OPPO Reno16 F 5G <\/b>to Singapore.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both devices feature many shared traits. Their main differences are few, mostly revolving around display sizes, battery capacities, and processor choices.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The OPPO Reno16 5G\u2019s 120Hz<\/b> refresh rate, FHD+<\/b> resolution AMOLED<\/b> display sits at 6.32 inches, while the OPPO Reno16 F 5G has the same display components at 6.57 inches. They also have 6,700mAh<\/b> and 7,000mAh,<\/b> respectively (while sharing the same 80W wired charging). Finally, the OPPO Reno16 5G relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, while Reno16 F 5G taps into a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset.<\/p>\n

The camera and software perks of using a Reno16 series phone are consistent across these two models, which we highlight below.<\/p>\n

Besides having K-Pop girl group BABYMONSTER as the global ambassador in select markets for the entire Reno16 series, both the Reno16 5G and the Reno16 F 5G are also very similar in durability, usability, and optimisations.<\/p>\n

The two phones have a 50MP (f\/2.0 aperture) front camera <\/b>with a 100\u00b0 field of view<\/b>, which is an uncommon ultrawide format for a camera usually associated with video calls (standard front cameras typically have a 78\u00b0 to 82\u00b0 FOV). This makes the Reno16 series a critical option for users who enjoy taking plenty of group selfies, and who want a selfie cam that can keep up with varied angles and poses (like the point-five selfie<\/u>).<\/p>\n

The phones also did not neglect the rear shooters, as they both feature a main camera with OIS (f\/1.8), an ultrawide, and a 3x optical-zoom telephoto with OIS. Different sensors were used in both models: the OPPO Reno16 5G has a triple 50MP <\/b>setup on the back, while the Reno16 F 5G\u2019s rear ultrawide is 8MP.<\/p>\n

Built into the default Camera app is a new Pop Cam<\/b> shooting tool that lets users apply retro-style filters such as Digicam, Instant Film, and Light Leak, recreating the effects one would expect from a digital compact camera of simpler times. Also added is Remix Collage<\/b>, letting users layer multiple elements like animated stickers, text, and moving subjects from videos into one composition. The upgraded Popout Collage 2.0<\/b> breaks borders to allow out-of-frame placements, granting a new wave of editing effects.<\/p>\n

Video recording also has a few tricks up its sleeve, like\u00a04K Straight Video<\/b>\u00a0for properly levelled clips when moving, and Dual View Video 2.0, which adds stabilisation and seamless transitions when swapping rear lenses.<\/p>\n

Both devices are rated IP68, IP69, and IP69K<\/b> for dust and water resistance, plus you get OPPO AI perks found on premium models, such as AI Mind Pilot, AI Mind Space, AI Menu Translation, and AI Bill Manager for digitising receipts.<\/p>\n

OPPO is also launching an animated digital badge accessory, called OPPO Bubble<\/b>, alongside the Reno16 series handsets. However, the OPPO Bubble is not restricted to the Reno16 models. Any phone that can accept a magnetic ring or has a magnetic case can attach the OPPO Bubble to it.<\/p>\n

In a nutshell, OPPO Bubble is a rear-attached AMOLED display that also doubles as a rear viewfinder<\/b>, making it easier for users to take photos with rear cameras. It can also act as a remote shutter button<\/b> up to 10 metres away when dislodged from the phone. When not in use, it serves as a style accessory<\/b>, with its display showing off looping animations. It also has lanyard compatibility.\u00a0<\/p>\n
