Joining Rob Mac and Lizzy Caplan is Steve Buscemi, the prolific, veteran, Emmy-winning actor known for many roles over the decades. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Buscemi is known for his roles in the movies Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and Big Fish. In the world of TV, Buscemi played memorable roles in The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, and Miracle Workers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Far Cry games bounce around between settings and characters with each new installment, and the TV show will follow that format as well with its anthology setup. Each new season of the show will take place in a &#8220;new setting following a new cast of characters.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Welcome Steve Buscemi to the world of FX&#39;s FARCRY.<\/p>\n<p>Hope you\u2019re ready to get thrown into the deep end, lose your mind, and make a few catastrophically bad decisions along the way. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PAwNG5xpmy\">pic.twitter.com\/PAwNG5xpmy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Far Cry (@FarCrygame) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FarCrygame\/status\/2077122212100776070?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 14, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noah Hawley (Alien: Earth and the Fargo TV series) and Rob Mac (It&#8217;s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are the executive producers for the Far Cry TV show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The show does not yet have a release date, but whenever it&#8217;s ready, it will be available on FX and Hulu, along with Disney+ internationally. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hawley ruffled some feathers recently when he said the&nbsp;traditional gameplay structure of a video game\u2013gameplay and skippable cutscenes\u2013does not make for a compelling TV show story.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hawley said his aim with the Far Cry show is to \u201chave a dialog\u201d with the franchise but not adapt any specific game or story from the series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGames are built in a way that doesn\u2019t make for the best drama,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for the Far Cry game series, Ubisoft is reportedly working on Far Cry 7 right now.
