Samsung\u2019s Privacy Display feature, currently exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, may be coming to all Galaxy S27 models next year.<\/b><\/p>\n
According to The Elec, industry sources say all four Galaxy S27 variants are expected to support Privacy Display when they launch next year. One source reportedly added that Samsung intends to make the feature a standard offering<\/b> across future flagship Galaxy phones.<\/p>\n
For those unfamiliar with it, Privacy Display is one of Samsung\u2019s most ambitious display technologies in recent years, with development said to have taken five years. The feature can be toggled on or off, configured to activate automatically for specific apps, and set to trigger when sensitive information such as passwords or PINs is entered. Users can also choose between a standard privacy mode and a stronger maximum-protection mode.<\/p>\n
In our review of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, we found Privacy Display to be one of the most significant smartphone innovations in recent memory, particularly for users concerned about shoulder-surfing and protecting sensitive information in public places such as trains, cafes, and offices.<\/p>\n
However, the feature has not been universally praised. Some users have reported issues such as increased eye strain, reduced brightness, and changes to display clarity when Privacy Display is enabled.<\/p>\n
Bringing Privacy Display to the entire Galaxy S27 series would also reinforce Samsung\u2019s growing focus on privacy and security as key differentiators in the premium smartphone market, alongside AI features and camera upgrades.<\/p>\n
