Samsung\u2019s rumoured Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide has surfaced once again, this time with what appears to be its full specifications sheet.<\/p>\n
According to tipster tarunvats33, the upcoming foldable will have a 7.6-inch QHD+ display<\/b> alongside a 5.5-inch QHD+ cover display<\/b>. This signals a departure from the tall, narrow design that has characterised Samsung\u2019s book-style foldable phones for years.<\/p>\n
In terms of physical dimensions, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is reportedly just 123.9mm tall, measuring 9.7mm<\/b> when folded and 4.5mm<\/b> when unfolded. At 201g<\/b>, it would also undercut the 215g Galaxy Z Fold7, making it one of Samsung\u2019s lightest book-style foldables.<\/p>\n
For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold7 features a larger 8.0-inch inner display and 6.5-inch cover display, measures 8.9mm when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded, and packs a 4,400mAh battery.<\/p>\n
Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy<\/b>, paired with 12GB of RAM<\/b> and a 4,800mAh battery<\/b>. It may sport a 50MP primary camera<\/b> and a 50MP ultra-wide camera<\/b> on the rear, while both the cover display and the foldable display house 10MP selfie cameras<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The Z Fold8 Wide\u2019s new wider form factor is said to be a direct response to Apple\u2019s impending foldable launch this year. Apple\u2019s foldable will reportedly adopt a wide form factor to give it a more tablet-like experience when unfolded.<\/p>\n
The latest leak closely matches an earlier report from OnLeaks and Android Headlines, lending additional credibility to the rumoured specifications. Previous reports have also claimed Samsung is preparing an initial production run of around one million units for launch in selected markets later this year.<\/p>\n
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is widely believed to be Samsung\u2019s direct response to a new wave of wider foldable smartphones from Chinese manufacturers, and Apple\u2019s long-rumoured foldable iPhone.<\/p>\n
