A shopper says she was shocked to find a man changing his baby\u2019s diaper inside the women\u2019s toilet at Wheelock Place.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at the Orchard Road mall\u2019s second-floor restroom on June 28 at around 12.46pm.<\/p>\n
The Stomper said she was \u201cappalled\u201d to see the man using the baby changing station inside the women\u2019s toilet while his wife was in one of the cubicles.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe actually approved of her husband being in the women\u2019s toilet,\u201d said the Stomper, adding that almost all the cubicles were occupied.<\/p>\n
A photo she shared shows the man standing at the baby changing station<\/a> with a stroller beside him.<\/p>\n The Stomper said she did not confront the couple, but claimed other women in the toilet appeared uncomfortable with his presence<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone in the toilet was giving looks of disdain,\u201d she said. \u201cSome ladies left the toilet because the man was there.\u201d<\/p>\n She also claimed the last two cubicles could not be used while the diaper was being changed.<\/p>\n According to parenting website Sassy Mama Singapore<\/a>, Wheelock Place has a nursing room on the first floor, although the site notes that it can be \u201ca bit difficult to get to\u201d as it is accessible only by lift.<\/p>\n Lifestyle website The Smart Local<\/a> also states that the mall has baby changing stations in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s toilets on every floor.<\/p>\n The Stomper said she has since submitted feedback to Wheelock Place\u2019s management but has yet to receive a response.<\/p>\n Stomp has contacted Wheelock Place for comment.<\/p>\n Have something to say?
