A woman who appeared to be trying to \u201cchope\u201d a parking lot with her body<\/a> has sparked debate online after a driver ignored her and parked anyway.<\/p>\n Dashcam footage shared on Instagram account @sgfollowsall<\/a> showed the incident unfolding along Aliwal Street at about 8.37pm on June 26.<\/p>\n The video showed a woman dressed in black standing in an empty roadside parking lot while talking on her phone, apparently waiting for another vehicle to arrive.<\/p>\n As a car approached the vacant space, a man in the vehicle can be heard saying: \u201cStand here doesn\u2019t (mean you) reserve the lot.\u201d<\/p>\n The woman then appeared to gesture to the area beside her, though her voice was muffled.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, doesn\u2019t matter. We\u2019re already here, our car reach before your car,\u201d said the male voice.<\/p>\n The woman eventually stepped aside, allowing the driver to pull into the lot. She also appeared to suggest that the male driver was inconsiderate.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat do you mean this is inconsiderate? This is not even allowed,\u201d protested another female voice from within the car.<\/p>\n The video has since attracted plenty of comments, with many questioning whether someone can reserve a parking space simply by standing in it.<\/p>\n \u201cI just find these kinda people entertaining! Where do they pluck these laws from, eykk?! \ud83d\ude02\u201d wrote one Instagram user.<\/p>\n Another commenter drew comparisons with Singapore\u2019s hawker centre culture, saying: \u201cWill people come to realise that it\u2019s the same with tissue papers for seats<\/a> at the hawker?\u201d<\/p>\n A third questioned the idea that the woman\u2019s behaviour was not allowed. \u201cThis is not allowed?
