Leica has expanded its full-frame mirrorless camera lineup with the new Leica SL3-P<\/b>, a flagship model aimed at photographers and filmmakers looking for a camera that can handle both high-resolution photography and professional video production.<\/p>\n
At the heart of the SL3-P is a new 44-megapixel backside-illuminated full-frame sensor<\/b> that offers up to 14 stops of dynamic range<\/b>. It also supports a Multishot mode capable of producing 176-megapixel images<\/b>, while an ISO range of 50 to 200,000<\/b> provides flexibility across a wide range of lighting conditions.<\/p>\n
Leica has also equipped the SL3-P with a new hybrid autofocus system that combines phase detection, object detection and contrast detection autofocus. The SL3-P can record up to 8.1K Open Gate footage<\/b> in a 3:2 aspect ratio, alongside 8K at 30fps<\/b>, 5.9K at 60fps and 4K slow-motion recording at up to 120fps. Apple ProRes recording up to 5.8K is supported, while new Leica Pure and Leica Cine LUTs are included for the L-Log colour profile to give creators greater flexibility during post-production.<\/p>\n Built in Germany, the camera features Leica\u2019s signature understated styling with blacked-out controls and no red Leica logo. The SL3-P supports native tethering with Adobe Lightroom Classic and Capture One, Camera-to-Cloud transfers through Adobe Frame.io, and direct wireless connectivity via the Leica FOTOS app. It is also equipped with Content Credentials technology developed under the Content Authenticity Initiative, allowing creators to attach tamper-resistant metadata to images as proof of authenticity.<\/p>\n The Leica SL3-P will be available worldwide starting today from Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and authorised dealers.
