Fans of Master Chief\u2019s very first adventure will soon be able to experience it in a new way: on their tabletops.<\/p>\n

Publisher Mantic Games announced Wednesday that it\u2019s partnering with Halo Studios on Halo: Campaign Evolved \u2013 The Board Game<\/em>, a new experience inspired by the upcoming video game remake, Halo: Campaign Evolved<\/em>. Announced in October 2025, Campaign Evolved<\/em> is a ground-up remake of the original 2001 campaign that started it all, rebuilt entirely in Unreal Engine 5 with enhanced mechanics and expanded content. Like the video game, the board game can be played solo or as a two-player co-op experience. The board game is currently scheduled to launch in Q4 2026.<\/p>\n

Further details remain scarce, but Mantic describes the project as an “action-packed board game.” The publisher has not yet revealed gameplay mechanics, components, or pricing. Mantic has also adapted franchises like Umbrella Academy, Hellboy, Invincible, and more to the tabletop previously. Earlier this month, Mantic announced a board game based on Ghost in the Shell<\/em> <\/em>was also in development. This latest announcement comes as Mantic continues to invest in its Halo tabletop lineup. The publisher launched Halo: Flashpoint<\/em>, a miniature skirmish game set in the Halo universe, in 2024 and has continued supporting it with new releases and expansions.<\/p>\n

Halo: Flashpoint<\/em> is one of the biggest success stories in licensed tabletop gaming over the past two years. Designed by former Games Workshop designer Andy Chambers, the game recreates Halo’s multiplayer combat with detailed Spartan miniatures, objective-based missions, and streamlined rules that make it easy to play for those unfamiliar with wargames while still offering tactical depth. Mantic has steadily expanded the line with new factions, maps, and characters, making a board-game adaptation of Halo’s campaign a logical next step.<\/p>\n

Mantic has promised to provide more details about the new board game later this year, but since the launch is promised for Q4, those details will probably come sooner rather than later. Major tabletop gaming event Gen Con returns in late July, so we could learn more there.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Halo: Campaign Evolved<\/em> launches for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X on July 28.<\/p>\n
