Professionals who frequently work from airports, Starbucks cafes and hotel lobbies will have one less thing to squeeze into their bags. Logitech has shown off the Mobi Fold<\/b>, its first foldable wireless mouse that, as its name implies, is designed for users who need a more portable alternative to traditional mice.<\/p>\n
According to Logitech, the Mobi Fold addresses what it calls an \u201con-the-go productivity gap\u201d. While many professionals own a mouse, relatively few actually carry one when working outside the office due to the bulk and inconvenience of traditional designs. The result is that many end up relying solely on their laptop\u2019s trackpad.<\/p>\n Photo: Logitech<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n The Mobi Fold tackles this with a folding design that shrinks the mouse to nearly half its working size. Opening the device automatically powers it on, while folding it closed switches it off to conserve battery life.<\/p>\n Despite its compact design, Logitech says the Mobi Fold retains the functionality expected of a full-sized productivity mouse. It features Adaptive Touch Scrolling<\/b> for precise or rapid navigation, two programmable touch-panel buttons configurable through the Logi Options+ app, and support for connecting to up to three devices via Bluetooth. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS and Linux.<\/p>\n The mouse also incorporates quiet-click switches for use in shared spaces and is built with travel durability in mind. Logitech says it has been drop-tested, features a dust-resistant silicone sleeve, and uses a hinge rated for up to 15 years of daily use.<\/p>\n Battery life is rated at up to 30 days on a full charge<\/b>, while a one-minute charge can provide up to 22 hours of use.
