On 23 June 2026, four individuals were charged in Court for alleged corruption
\noffences. They are:<\/p>\n
a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Xu Ling Fang (\u201cXu\u201d)<\/strong> (\u8bb8\u73b2\u65b9, 41-year-old b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Alfred Hau Wuei Cherng (\u201cHau\u201d)<\/strong> (\u4faf\u4f1f\u57ce, c)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Oh Kok Hua (\u201cOh\u201d)<\/strong> (\u80e1\u56fd\u534e, 53-year-old d)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Kou Hou<\/strong> (\u5411\u5cf0, 57-year-old male Alleged Corruption Offences Involving Xu and Hau<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n 2. In 2024, on two occasions, Xu had given bribes totalling S$5,800 to 3.\u00a0For their alleged actions, Xu faces two charges for offences under Alleged Corruption Offences Involving Hau, Oh and Kou Hou<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n 4.\u00a0On 18 March 2025, Hau allegedly abetted by engaging in a conspiracy 5.\u00a0For their alleged actions, Hau and Oh face one charge each under 6.\u00a0Singapore adopts a strict zero-tolerance approach towards corruption. 7. \nJapanese), a Construction Manager in the employ of Penta Ocean at the material
\ntime of the offences.<\/p>\n
\nHau as a reward for engaging Ann Tat for jobs from FHLB and FHLE.<\/p>\n
\nSection 6(b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act (\u201cPCA\u201d)<\/em>, while
\nHau faces two charges under Section 6(a) of the PCA<\/em>.<\/p>\n
\nwith Oh to give a bribe of S$1,000 to Kou Hou. The bribe was a reward for
\nKou Hou to facilitate the setting up of a vending machine at the construction
\nsite of the Air Traffic Control Centre.<\/p>\n
\nSection 6(b) read with Section 29(a) of the PCA<\/em>, while Kou Hou
\nfaces one charge under Section 6(a) of the PCA<\/em>.<\/p>\n
\nAny person convicted of a corruption offence under Section 6 of the PCA <\/em>can
\nbe fined up to S$100,000 or sentenced to imprisonment not exceeding five
\nyears or both.<\/p>\n
