Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em> is having a Frigibax Community Day<\/strong> event on Saturday, June 20 from 2-5 p.m. <\/strong>in your local time.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As expected with a Community Day event, Frigibax will spawn in huge numbers with a high chance for it to appear shiny. There are also several other bonuses and perks, which we\u2019ve listed out below.<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n

\n How to find a shiny Frigibax
\n <\/h2>\n

As per old research by the now-defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback Machine), shiny rates on Community Days are about 1 in 24, which means that if you keep playing throughout the three-hour window, you should find quite a few shiny Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re short on time or Pok\u00e9 Balls, you can pop an Incense, then quickly tap each Frigibax to check for shiny ones, running from any that aren\u2019t shiny. Notably, any Frigibax you\u2019ve already tapped will face where your player is standing, so that should help identify which ones you may have already checked.<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n

If you evolve Arctibax into Baxcalibur from 2-9 p.m. in your local time<\/strong>, it will learn the charged move Glaive Rush<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you miss out on evolving it during this period, you will likely be able to evolve it during a Community Day weekend event in December to get Glaive Rush. If you don\u2019t want to wait, you can use an Elite TM to get the move.<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n

In PvE content<\/strong> (raids and gyms), Baxcalibur is a powerful ice-type<\/strong> when set up with Ice Fang and Avalanche<\/strong>. It’s also a fine dragon-type attacker with Ice Fang and Glaive Rush, but it gets outclassed by quite a few Pok\u00e9mon (Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, Eternatus, Origin Forme Palkia, and Origin Forme Dialga, and that’s not including shadows and Megas).<\/p>\n

For PvP<\/strong>, Baxcalibur may see some use in Master League, with Dragon’s Breath, Glaive Rush, and Avalanche<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It should also be noted that Baxcalibur has an unreleased Mega form<\/strong> that is bound to be powerful. It’s likely that Baxcalibur will be featured in Super Mega Raids (as other Mega Pok\u00e9mon that debuted in Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A<\/em> did), so any high-IV Baxcalibur you catch during this event could be Mega Evolved down the line. In fact, you very likely want to keep a Baxcalibur or two with its Community Day move, Glaive Rush, as its Mega Evolved version will likely make it an excellent dragon-type attacker<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
