Insta360 has officially announced the Luna Ultra<\/b>, its flagship gimbal camera that was developed in partnership with Leica \u2013 and goes head-to-head with DJI\u2019s latest Osmo Pocket 4.<\/p>\n

The Luna Ultra combines Leica Summicron<\/b> optics with a dual-lens camera system that includes a dedicated telephoto lens. The camera can record 8K video at 30fps<\/b>, while also supporting Dolby Vision<\/b>, 10-bit I-Log capture and up to 14 stops of dynamic range for greater flexibility when editing footage.<\/p>\n

For photography, the Luna Ultra can capture 37MP still images<\/b> and 200MP Scenic Panorama<\/b> shots. Insta360 has also included a PureVideo mode that uses image processing algorithms to improve low-light image quality.<\/p>\n

One of the more unusual features of the Luna Ultra is its detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen. Insta360 claims it is the first camera of its kind to feature a removable display, allowing users to frame and control shots remotely with HD video transmission at distances of up to 20m.<\/p>\n

The camera itself weighs just over 200g and is designed for handheld use on the move. To help keep footage stable, the Luna Ultra combines a 3-axis stabilisation system with electronic image stabilisation.<\/p>\n

AI-powered subject tracking is another key focus. Insta360\u2019s Deep Track 5.0 system supports Auto Tracking, Active Zoom Tracking, Group Tracking and Smart Framing, allowing the camera to automatically follow subjects and adjust framing during recording.<\/p>\n

The camera also supports Leica colour profiles, cinematic filters, ACES workflows and built-in timecode for synchronising footage across multiple cameras. Users can also edit footage using AI-powered tools within the Insta360 mobile app and connect compatible Insta360 wireless microphones for audio recording.<\/p>\n

A range of accessories will also be available, including a POV Head Tracker, Black Mist filters, a Wide-Angle Lens attachment and ND filters for creators who want greater control over their footage.<\/p>\n
