{"id":61838,"date":"2026-06-19T02:09:03","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T18:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=61838"},"modified":"2026-06-19T02:09:03","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T18:09:03","slug":"driver-taken-to-hospital-after-accident-with-another-car-in-geylang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=61838","title":{"rendered":"Driver taken to hospital after accident with another car in Geylang"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 <!-- -->A 73-year-old driver was taken to Raffles Hospital after his car was involved in an accident with another car in Geylang on June 16.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The driver of the other car, a 72-year-old man, is helping with police investigations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Geylang Road and Aljunied Road at about 11.45am that day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In a video of the aftermath, which was shared on Reddit, a stationary white car can be seen at the junction with its bonnet badly damaged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">There is also a black car at the junction, lying on its side.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Two fire trucks are also seen at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In a TikTok video, a man is seen holding the black car\u2019s broken windscreen as another reaches into the car to take what appears to be a phone.
