Job openings stood at 80,100 in March 2025 before declining to their lowest point in a year.<\/strong><\/p>\n Job vacancies<\/a> fell to 73,300 in March 2026, the lowest level in a year, according to the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM)<\/a> Labour Market Report for the first quarter (Q1) of 2026.<\/p>\n The report showed seasonally adjusted job vacancies declined from 77,700 in December 2025 with the job vacancy rate also easing to 2.9% from 3.1% over the same period.<\/p>\n Compared with a year earlier, job vacancies were down from 80,100 in March 2025.<\/p>\n The decline was driven by a reduction in non-PMET vacancies, said MOM.<\/p>\n The number of non-PMET openings fell to 32,100 in March 2026, compared with 36,000 in December 2025 and 36,900 in March 2025.<\/p>\n Despite the overall decline, MOM said vacancies increased in some sectors.<\/p>\n Financial services recorded 5,800 vacancies in March 2026, up from 4,300 in December 2025, whilst manufacturing vacancies rose to 8,500 from 8,000.<\/p>\n The ministry also reported an increase in vacancies for professionals, managers, executives, and technicians (PMETs) in March 2026 as demand for skilled workers increased.<\/p>\n Based on the report’s data, around seven in 10 vacancies were in roles likely to be filled by residents.<\/p>\n On an annual basis, Singapore recorded 75,900 job vacancies in 2025, compared with 75,500 in 2024 and 85,800 in 2023.
