\n\t\tFor the first time, the Qantas Singapore Business Lounge at Changi now opens every morning – great news for early Oneworld departures.\t<\/p>\n

Qantas has extended the opening hours at its Singapore International Business Lounge once again, and for the first time the Changi Terminal 1 facility now offers a morning opening\u00a0every day of the week.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s great news for anyone departing on a morning Oneworld flight from Changi looking for a well-regarded spot for breakfast, a barista-style coffee or an early pre-departure tipple \u2013 though as you\u2019ll see, some of those new morning openings land at rather unsociable hours.<\/p>\n

Most of our readers don\u2019t need reminding, but the longstanding Qantas International Business Lounge at Terminal 1 is open to those flying in Business Class with a Oneworld carrier.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also accessible to eligible frequent flyers holding sufficient status, prior to departure on a Oneworld-operated flight from any<\/em> terminal at the airport, including the likes of Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, JAL and Cathay Pacific.<\/p>\n

New opening hours<\/h3>\n

The headline here is that every day now features a morning session<\/strong>, where previously only Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays did. The trade-off is that the late-night closing has been trimmed slightly, from 1am to 12.15am, and as we mentioned above some of those early sessions are best described as super-early.<\/p>\n

Why do the hours vary so much each day?<\/h3>\n

The afternoon through to post midnight session is a constant for this lounge. It\u2019s there every day to support Qantas\u2019s own evening bank of flights to Australia, including the Airbus A380 departures to Sydney and London.<\/p>\n

What changes day to day is the\u00a0morning<\/em>\u00a0picture, which is built around a handful of early Qantas, Oneworld and partner airline flights. The graphic below shows the new pattern at a glance.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the day-by-day reasoning:<\/p>\n

Monday\u00a0is the pick of the week \u2013 the lounge is effectively open all day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 3.20am start supports\u00a0QF256 to Sydney at 6.20am<\/strong>, a service that now originates in Paris and routes via Singapore, having replaced the carrier\u2019s nonstop Perth \u2013 Paris flight while Middle East airspace tensions persist. The lounge then stays open for QF78 to Perth at 10.30am<\/strong>\u00a0and FJ362 to Nadi at 1.55pm<\/strong>, before simply rolling into the usual afternoon and evening Qantas peak. A true all-day affair.<\/p>\n

Tuesday<\/strong>\u00a0reverts to a single, limited morning window for eligible passengers on AF181 to Paris at 10.50am<\/strong>, before the regular afternoon session begins.<\/p>\n

Wednesday<\/strong>\u00a0sees the 3.20am opening again for QF256 to Sydney at 6.20am<\/strong>, but with nothing else to serve in the morning the lounge closes at 5.45am, reopening for the afternoon at 2pm.<\/p>\n

Thursday<\/strong>\u00a0follows the same early pattern as Wednesday, but the main session opens earlier, at 11am, to cater for FJ362 to Nadi at 1.55pm<\/strong>, after which it carries straight through to the late Qantas bank.<\/p>\n

Friday<\/strong>\u00a0is a bit of a mash-up. The 3.20am start once again serves QF256 to Sydney at 6.20am<\/strong>, then the lounge simply stays open for QF78 to Perth at 10.30am<\/strong>\u00a0and AF181 to Paris at 10.50am<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Saturday<\/strong>\u00a0is back to a single (but relatively sociable) morning window, for AF181 to Paris at 10.50am<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sunday<\/strong>\u00a0mirrors Friday, with the 3.20am opening flowing through to the late-morning departures.<\/p>\n

Crucially, none of this stops eligible travellers on\u00a0other<\/em>\u00a0Oneworld flights, or those getting a head start on the evening Qantas bank via early check-in, from using the lounge during these morning periods too.<\/p>\n

One caveat worth keeping in mind is that those very early 3.20am openings hinge solely on QF256 from Paris, which only operates via Singapore because of the temporary Middle East rerouting. Qantas has indicated it will review that arrangement around late July 2026, so these particular pre-dawn starts may not prove permanent.<\/p>\n

Other Oneworld departures that benefit<\/h3>\n

The lounge\u2019s value isn\u2019t limited to Qantas\u2019s own flights. Plenty of other morning Oneworld departures from Changi fall within these new windows, making this a handy pre-flight option, including on an Avios or Asia Miles redemption to Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines, for example.<\/p>\n

About the Qantas Singapore Business Lounge<\/h3>\n

The Qantas Singapore International Lounge is one of the best Business Class lounges at Singapore Changi Airport, including a manned bar, ample shower suites and excellent food options.<\/p>\n

The facility has a huge 600-seat capacity, which is much-needed during the evening peak of Qantas departures that includes Airbus A380 services to London and Australia.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, that makes it an enormous space<\/strong> for only a handful of morning Oneworld and partner airline departures, which is the case for some of its opening periods.<\/p>\n

The lounge even offers a made-to-order food menu, in addition to a self-serve buffet selection.<\/p>\n

Shower facilities are available for those who want to freshen up before their flight, with 20 private shower suites offered in this huge lounge.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also super fast Wi-Fi, clocking in at 62 Mbps<\/strong> during our last visit.<\/p>\n

Despite the lack of champagne, this lounge also boasts a full bar, including Little Creatures beer on tap.<\/p>\n

We reviewed the lounge<\/a> in September 2019, shortly before it was forced to close due to the pandemic, and aside from a lack of champagne (sparkling wine is offered), we rate it as among the better Business Class lounges out there.<\/p>\n

What about the First Lounge?<\/h3>\n

There\u2019s no such luck at the swankier Qantas Singapore First Lounge along the concourse, which retains its\u00a03.30pm \u2013 11pm<\/strong>\u00a0daily opening.<\/p>\n

No early-morning dibs here, sadly, though we still hold out hope for an \u00e0 la carte breakfast option at this excellent facility in future perhaps.<\/p>\n

Lounge access<\/h3>\n

The access rules are unchanged. In short, the Business Lounge is open to those flying on a Qantas, Emirates or Oneworld-operated flight in First or Business Class, or in a lower cabin while holding sufficient Qantas, Emirates or Oneworld status.<\/p>\n
