Pickleball <\/a>in Singapore has to rank as one of the more divisive topics here.<\/p>\n While most debates are centered around noise levels, someone took it one step further to ask: Could living next to a pickleball court actually make it harder to sell your HDB flat?<\/p>\n In a video posted to Instagram, property agent Justin Chiu stood at a window in a flat overlooking several pickleball courts while sharing his views on the matter. The pickleball courts were located at the top of a multi-storey car park next to the block.\u00a0<\/p>\n According to Justin, the presence of nearby courts and the noise from a game can make an otherwise attractive unit more challenging to sell.<\/p>\n While Justin did not reveal where the courts featured in the video were located, a quick check on PropertyGuru shows that the unit in question is at Tampines St 45 and is currently up for rent.\u00a0<\/p>\n 8days.sg has reached out to Justin for more information but did not receive a response by press time.<\/p>\n In response to Justin’s take in his video, netizens were divided.<\/p>\n Many felt this is the reality of living in public housing, while some say there will always be pickleball fans who don\u2019t mind easy access to such courts.<\/p>\n In 2025 alone, it was reported that there have been more than 700 complaints about the noise from pickleball games.<\/p>\n To combat the noise issue, Mountbatten Town Council introduced silent pickleball<\/a>, aka foam-ball-only games, at community courts from 7am to 10am, and 7pm to 9pm.<\/p>\n And as pickleball continues to be popular across the country, Sengkang MP Jamus Lim raised a formal proposal was raised in Parliament to convert under-utilised second-to-top floors of MSCPs into pickleball courts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
