M1 has revamped its Bespoke Flexi<\/u><\/b> mobile plans<\/b>, and the headline change is one no other Singapore telco has tried: device protection built into the plan rather than sold as a separate add-on.\u00a0<\/p>\n
M1\u2019s new FoneCare+ Pro<\/u><\/b> <\/u>protection<\/u><\/b> at no extra monthly charge for subscribers of M1\u2019s Bespoke Flexi 800GB, 1TB, or 10TB data plans, with the enhanced plans starting at S$46.95 a month<\/b>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
That is the part worth pausing on. Phone protection in Singapore has always been an opt-in extra. Singtel\u2019s MobileSwop Unlimited starts at S$5.90 a month, and StarHub\u2019s SmartSupport starts at S$14.26, both charged on top of whatever plan you are already paying for. M1\u2019s pitch is that it has moved the same kind of cover inside the bill, so customers on the larger Bespoke Flexi tiers get it without thinking about it, and without a second line item.<\/p>\n
What FoneCare+ Pro actually covers<\/h2>\n
FoneCare+ Pro is aimed squarely at people who want peace of mind for a newly purchased device, and the benefits go beyond a simple swap. It includes:\u00a0<\/p>\n

- Damaged or lost phone replacement<\/li>\n
- Battery swap<\/li>\n
- Device refresh, including deep cleaning, screen replacement and more<\/li>\n

- Two-hour doorstep delivery service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
Please note that the handset upgrade is available only for Bespoke Contract subscribers.<\/p>\n
FoneCare+ Lite?\u00a0<\/h2>\n
M1 first introduced FoneCare+ Lite in 2023<\/u>, offering SIM-only customers one device swap within 12 months, four-hour doorstep delivery and access to one screen repair service from S$99 during the 12-month period. At the time, FoneCare+ Pro sat separately in the line-up as a paid monthly subscription.<\/p>\n
This new move is different. FoneCare+ Pro<\/u> is now built into selected Bespoke Flexi device plans, and the benefits go beyond a single swap. Customers on the qualifying plans get a wider protection suite covering swap, replacement, refresh, battery support and tech help.<\/p>\n
However, as covered earlier, it does come free with the Bespoke Flexi 800GB, 1TB and 10TB plans, but for customers on other eligible device plans who still want the cover, FoneCare+ Pro is available as a value-added service at S$12.12 a month<\/b>, placing it in much the same price bracket as its rival add-ons.<\/p>\n

M1\u2019s Bespoke Flexi subscribers also have the benefit of having access to M1\u2019s recent changes to its Worldwide Daily Passport<\/u>, which offers 3GB of roaming data at S$0.99 per day across 78 destinations<\/b>. The 24-hour window starts only when roaming data is first used overseas, not at midnight or while the user is still in Singapore. Once the 3GB is used up, another 3GB block is automatically activated at the same S$0.99 rate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The enhanced Bespoke Flexi plans are available now<\/u> through M1\u2019s online shop and retail channels.<\/p>\n
M1 is trying to make the phone plan feel less like a bundle of separate add-ons and more like a complete device package. The phone is financed through the plan. The data allowance is large enough for heavy users. Roaming is simplified for travel. Protection is included for the expensive device sitting in the customer\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n
That does not mean customers can skip the fine print. Device swaps, replacements and repairs still come with terms, conditions and possible service fees. But as a mobile plan refresh, this is a cleaner pitch than simply adding more gigabytes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
