\n Singapore<\/a> has appointed Lim Leong Guan (main picture)
\n as\u00a0head of private banking for Middle East, South Asia &
\n International, taking over the role vacated by the departure \u2013
\n
\n reported here<\/a> \u2013 of Ranjit Khanna.\u00a0
\n<\/p>\n
\n Based in Dubai, Lim \u2013 who joined BoS in 2020 \u2013\u00a0will also be
\n CEO of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) branch,
\n subject to regulatory approval, Bank of Singapore said in a
\n statement yesterday. Lim is concurrently interim global head of
\n the investment solutions group.
\n<\/p>\n
\n Lim, together with Rickie Chan and Vi Sun Yang, will accelerate
\n the push for UHNW growth, the bank said. Chan is head of private
\n banking, Greater China & North Asia, and CEO, Hong Kong Branch.
\n As
\n previously announced<\/a> by BoS, Vi Sun Yang will join Bank of
\n Singapore as head of private banking for the ASEAN region on 29
\n June.
\n<\/p>\n
\n A media report in late April said that Khanna is set to join
\n EFG
\n International<\/a> in Dubai. EFG declined to comment when asked
\n about the matter in May.
\n<\/p>\n
\n Other changes<\/strong>
\n With Lim\u2019s appointment, Annabelle Chow, head of financial
\n intermediaries, will be the global segment lead for the FIM
\n business with responsibility\u00a0for driving the bank\u2019s strategy
\n and proposition for the segment. Chow will report to Yang.
\n<\/p>\n
\n Lim has worked in the private banking sector for three decades.
\n Bank of Singapore said Lim\u2019s accomplishments include shaping its
\n financial intermediaries team into one of the fastest growing
\n segments at the bank. (This week, this news service
\n covered<\/a> the bank\u2019s updated policies on relationship
\n managers.)
\n<\/p>\n
\n Among his other accomplishments\u00a0in the family office and
\n wealth advisory space, he more than doubled revenue from
\n insurance referrals and led strategic initiatives including the
\n Bank of Singapore Family Office Catalyst. Launched in 2025, this
\n offering caters to UHNW individuals seeking to adopt a setup that
\n facilitates the professionalisation of their wealth management,
\n which could eventually evolve to a single-family office.\u00a0
\n<\/p>\n
\n Lim joined the lender as global head of products. Prior to that,
\n he spent 25 years at UBS Wealth Management, where he served in
\n senior management roles including Asia-Pacific head of wealth
\n planning and Singapore head of investment products and services.
\n<\/p>\n
\n Chow (pictured below)\u00a0joined in 2016\u00a0to build the
\n firm’s\u00a0FIMs business with Lim: the size of the FIMs team led
\n by Chow tripled across Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai.

\n Chow has 20 years of private banking experience, including stops
\n at Barclays Wealth in Asia and Credit Suisse AG where she covered
\n family offices of UHNW clients in Hong Kong, and eventually built
\n up the team to expand Credit Suisse\u2019s presence in the Asia FIMs
\n segment, Bank of Singapore said.\u00a0
\n<\/p>\n
\n In 2025, Bank of Singapore reported that it had exceeded its
\n previously-announced target of $145 billion in assets under
\n management (AuM) set in 2023, growing global AuM by more than 20
\n per cent.
\n<\/p>\n
\n The bank noted that the Capgemini Research Institute\u2019s
\n World Wealth Report 2026<\/em><\/a> showed that the UHNW
\n population expanded 9.4 per cent in 2025. \u201cGiven this backdrop,
\n Bank of Singapore aims for 30 per cent growth in UHNW assets
\n under management (AuM) globally by 2028,\u201d it added.
