The announcement was made during <b>Summer Game Fest 2026<\/b>, alongside the game\u2019s first trailer and a <b>Spring 2027<\/b> release window.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Picking up after the events of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Revelation will bring Cloud Strife and his companions\u2019 fight against Sephiroth to its conclusion. The trailer teased several iconic moments from the latter half of the original 1997 RPG, including the return of Wutai, confrontations with the colossal Weapons, and the long-awaited debut of the Highwind airship as a fully controllable vehicle.<\/p>\n<div class=\"_embedContainer_wioo3_16\">\n<div class=\"_container_1stzb_1\"><picture><source srcset=\"https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi_webp\/MS1k9tMu9ss\/sddefault.webp\" type=\"image\/webp\"\/><source srcset=\"https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/MS1k9tMu9ss\/hqdefault.jpg\" type=\"image\/jpeg\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"_facade_1stzb_5\" src=\"https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/MS1k9tMu9ss\/hqdefault.jpg\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.7777777777777777\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/picture><button class=\"_playButton_1stzb_12\" type=\"button\"><span class=\"_playButtonText_1stzb_39\">Play<\/span><\/button><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Unlike the past two games, Final Fantasy VII Revelation will launch simultaneously across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">The game also expands the playable roster with fan-favourite characters Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind joining the party. Square Enix has additionally introduced a new <b>FITS<\/b> (Function Integrated Tactical Suitwear) system, which allows characters to equip specialised outfits that alter their combat abilities \u2013 not too different from the older classic Final Fantasy job systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">According to Square Enix, Revelation will feature the largest world seen in the remake trilogy, with players able to freely explore much of the planet using Highwind.
