{"id":58709,"date":"2026-06-07T08:21:45","date_gmt":"2026-06-07T00:21:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=58709"},"modified":"2026-06-07T08:21:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-07T00:21:45","slug":"how-to-be-more-optimistic-and-positive-from-an-expert-who-wrote-a-book-about-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=58709","title":{"rendered":"How to be more optimistic and positive, from an expert who wrote a book about it"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<div datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1xdhyk6 ec74h0k0\">Three years ago, Dr Deepika Chopra was just months into writing a book about <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">optimism<\/span> when she found herself confronting a crisis that threatened to dismantle everything she thought she understood about hope.<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Her son was two-and-a-half years old when, as she recalls it, their lives changed \u201cout of nowhere\u201d.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cOne moment he was playing with his brother, and the next moment we were in the hospital dealing with a rare, serious medical issue,\u201d says the Los Angeles-based psychologist and author. \u201cIt shattered us.\u201d She declines to name the condition.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Despite being known as the \u201cOptimism Doctor\u201d, she confesses she is not the most optimistic of people. \u201cI don\u2019t err on the side of optimism.
