That means it can transfer photo, video, and files to Apple devices natively, without needing a new app or other workarounds.

Limited rollout: Xiaomi 17T Pro is the sole device with AirDrop support initially

There is one catch: in the very fine print at the bottom of Xiaomi’s video, it says the feature is only available on the Xiaomi 17T Pro for now.

To use the feature, turn on AirDrop on your Apple device (iPhone, iPad), and start sharing the file from your Xiaomi’s Quick Share menu. If everything goes correctly, the Apple device will appear as an option for transferring your Xiaomi files. If it’s not available, remember to update the firmware on your Xiaomi 17T Pro first.

To be clear, Xiaomi isn’t the first after Google to include AirDrop compatibility with Quick Share. The latest devices from major brands like Samsung (Galaxy S26 series), OPPO (Find X9 series, Find N6), and Vivo (X300 Ultra) can all do it, but the inclusion of Xiaomi practically rounds off major Android phone brands with a strong presence in Singapore (stats, per our Readers’ Choice poll). As with Xiaomi, the feature is limited to specific devices for each brand, so it’s not an Android-wide rollout.

Source: Xiaomi (X)

Back in November 2025, Android announced that its Quick Share function is compatible with Apple’s photo and file transfer protocol, AirDrop. The first Android handset…

[32
10677,156,10129,23992,223
post-57470","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-tech-gadgets-reviews","tag-airdrop","tag-apple","tag-device","tag-hyperos","tag-xiaomi","wpcat-32-id
["GET
