href=\"https:\/\/www.mas.gov.sg\/bonds-and-bills\/auctions-and-issuance-calendar\/auction-t-bill?issue_code=BS26111H&amp;issue_date=2026-06-09\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Singapore T-bill auction (BS26111H)<\/a> will be on 4 June.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous auction on 21 May, the <a href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/t-bill-allotment-21-may-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut-off yield for the 6-month Singapore T-bill climbed to 1.45%<\/a>, <span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(18,18,18);\">higher<\/span> than <a href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/t-bill-allotment-7-may-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the yield of 1.40% in the previous auction on 7 May<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This would be <a href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/t-bill-allotment-9-apr-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">close to the recent high of 1.47% in the auction on 9 April.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With the rise in cut-off yield, the <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/BeansproutSG\">Beansprout community<\/a> has been discussing whether we could see a further rebound in the Singapore T-bill yield.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(18,18,18);\">In this article, I\u2019ll look at some of the latest indicators to help us understand what the upcoming cut-off yield might yields have edged higher<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/quote\/us-10y-government-bond-yield\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10-year US government bond yield was at 4.50% as of 28 May 2026<\/a>, slightly higher than its levels of 4.46% two weeks ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This comes as stronger-than-expected economic data and sticky inflation prompted investors to dial back expectations for near-term Federal Reserve rate cuts.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, concerns over the widening US fiscal deficit and heavier Treasury issuance weighed on bond markets, putting additional \u2013 Singapore government bond yields little changed<\/h3>\n<p>The 10-year Singapore government bond yield was at 2.05% as of 28 May 2026, little changed from 2.07% two weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>This likely reflects sustained demand for Singapore government bonds as a safe haven asset.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"813\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The closing yield on the 6-month T-bill was at 1.41% on 26 May 2026, slightly lower than the <a href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/t-bill-allotment-21-may-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut-off yield of 1.45% in the previous T-bill auction on 21 May<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(18,18,18);\">T<\/span>he yield on the 3-month MAS bill can also indicate the yields for shorter-maturity Singapore government bonds.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eservices.mas.gov.sg\/statistics\/masbills\/MASBillsAuctions.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut-off yield was at 1.40%<\/a> in the auction on 26 May 2026, <span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(18,18,18);\">also quite close to <\/span>the cut-off yield of 1.41% on 19 May.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \u2013\u00a0Issuance size is the same with previous auction<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The issuance size of the upcoming 6-month Singapore T-bill is $8.5 billion, same with the previous auction size.<\/p>\n<p>This also represents the highest amount of 6-month Singapore T-bill being auctioned.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"raw-html-embed\"><iframe style=\"width:100%!;margin-top:4px!important;text-align:right!important;\"><a class=\"flourish-credit\" on 21 May, from S$17.5 billion in the auction on 7 May.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If demand continues to rise in the upcoming auction, the same issuance size may lead to a lower cut-off yield in the upcoming href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/insights\/savings\/singapore-best-fixed-deposit-rate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">best 6-month fixed deposit rate of 1.50% p.a.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While banks have been cutting the interest rates on savings accounts, we were still able to find<a href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/insights\/savings\/best-savings-accounts-singapore\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> savings accounts in Singapore that offer an interest rate of above 1.41% p.a.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(18,18,18);\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/growbeansprout.com\/tools\/ssb-interest-rate-projection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">current issuance of the Singapore Savings Bonds (SSB) offers a 1-year return of 1.46%, and maturity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(18,18,18);\">I compare savings accounts, fixed deposits, T-bills, SSBs and money market funds <\/span><a
