The Gran Turismo World Series<\/b> is coming to Singapore for the first time, with Round 3<\/b> of the 2026 championship officially set to take place at Sands Theatre<\/b> on Saturday, 3 October 2026<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Held in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board, the event will form part of the wider Grand Prix Season Singapore festivities running from 2 to 11 October, leading into the annual Formula 1 race weekend from 9 to 11 October.<\/p>\n
For racing game fans in the region, this is quite a watershed moment. While the Gran Turismo World Series has previously held live events across Europe, Japan and North America, Singapore marks the competition\u2019s first stop in Southeast Asia. It also means local fans will finally get a chance to watch some of the world\u2019s top Gran Turismo drivers compete live on stage instead of through YouTube streams and PlayStation broadcasts.<\/p>\n
Round 3 will also carry extra significance for competitors. The Singapore leg will serve as the final points-scoring round before the World Finals in December 2026<\/b>, with drivers battling for standings in both the Manufacturers Cup<\/b> and Nations Cup<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Beyond the main championship itself, Sony and Polyphony Digital are also organising a regional in-game competition through Gran Turismo 7 this August. The Singapore Regional Time Trial Challenge<\/b> will be open to players from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The fastest six competitors from Singapore, alongside the top racer from each participating country, will earn a trip to Singapore to compete live on stage during a special support event called the Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Ticketing details for the Singapore round have yet to be fully announced, though additional information is expected to be released through the official Gran Turismo channels closer to the event date.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
