SINGAPORE \u2013 A school principal from Hong Kong has resigned days after he was seen swearing at security guards while on a school trip in Singapore.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Mr Lee Cheuk Hing tendered his resignation as principal of San Wui Commercial Society Secondary School on May 28, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) cited school manager Edmund Wong Chun Sek as saying.<\/p>\n The Hong Kong-based English-language newspaper reported that the school\u2019s board of directors would have to meet to decide whether to accept the resignation, given the many factors involved.<\/p>\n In an interview with another Hong Kong media outlet, Dotdotnews, Mr Lee said: \u201cI should have set a good example. No matter what the situation is, I should have remained calm and restrained.\u201d<\/p>\n He added he had failed to do so, and would reflect on his actions. He also urged students not to emulate him, according to Dotdotnews.<\/p>\n Mr Lee also made a public apology to the public in Hong Kong and Singapore.<\/p>\n A video of Mr Lee\u2019s apology, uploaded to Dotdotnews\u2019 YouTube channel, drew mixed reactions from netizens.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want him to be the principal of my child\u2019s school,\u201d wrote one netizen in Chinese.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone makes mistakes. Admitting your wrongs means you can change,\u201d another netizen wrote in Chinese.<\/p>\n In the video posted on the Threads social media platform on May 23, a man standing at the doorway of a bus is seen arguing with two women on the street who are wearing SAFRA security uniforms.<\/p>\n The women can be heard saying that the bus has to move \u201cbehind\u201d.
