Audiences can look forward to fresh takes on plays including <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">Othello<\/em>, <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">Macbeth<\/em>, <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">Hamlet,<\/em> <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">Romeo and Juliet<\/em> and <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">Twelfth Night<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1xdhyk6 ec74h0k0\">A former dean of drama at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Tang has cemented himself as a cornerstone of Hong Kong\u2019s Shakespearean scene. He has staged Shakespeare plays worldwide, with highlights including a Cantonese version of <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">Titus Andronicus<\/em> as part of the 2012 World Shakespeare Festival\u2019s \u201cGlobe to Globe\u201d event in London, and a <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">non-verbal, three-woman production of <em data-qa=\"ContentSchemaRender-defaultRenderMapFunctions-Component\" class=\"css-1mniedq ex3nmsa15\">King Lear<\/em><\/span>.<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">He has this to say when asked why we should still watch Shakespeare today.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWhy do we still read the Bible today, or the various sutras of Buddha, or various scriptures of ancient civilisations?
