{"id":54330,"date":"2026-05-22T06:54:44","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T22:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=54330"},"modified":"2026-05-22T06:54:44","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T22:54:44","slug":"action-taken-against-138-motorcyclists-following-multi-agency-operation-at-tuas-checkpoint-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=54330","title":{"rendered":"Action taken against 138 motorcyclists following multi-agency operation at Tuas Checkpoint, Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Some 138 motorcyclists were nabbed or issued with fines following a multi-agency joint enforcement operation against errant motorcyclists at Tuas Checkpoint on May 12.<\/p>\n<p>Police said in a news release on Thursday (May 21) that the operation involved the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and National Environment Agency (NEA).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>More than 300 motorcyclists were stopped for checks, with a total of 14 motorists, aged between 25 and 42, caught for riding without a valid licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance coverage.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, LTA uncovered 44 offences such as displaying improper licence plates, expired road tax and using a motor vehicle without insurance coverage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Three foreign-registered motorcycles were also impounded for entering Singapore without a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/singapore\/foreign-vehicles-outstanding-fines-no-vep-application-renewal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">valid vehicle entry permit<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Tuas-Checkpoint-TP-LTA-NEA-Enforcement-2.jpeg\" data-entity-uuid=\"4687cae9-ff2b-41fb-b1e6-65bf64c11d05\" data-entity-type=\"file\" alt=\"LTA officers conducting checks on motorcycles at Tuas Checkpoint on May 12.\" height=\"2000\" width=\"3000\" data-caption=\"LTA officers conducting checks on motorcycles at Tuas Checkpoint on May 12.
