Those at increased risk of severe COVID-19, such as those aged 60 years and above, including those residing in aged care facilities, and medically vulnerable individuals aged six months and above, are recommended to have up-to-date vaccinations. This means they should receive an additional dose around one year after their last dose.<\/p>\n
Healthcare workers and persons living or working with medically vulnerable individuals are also encouraged to receive the vaccine. Other individuals aged six months and above who wish to receive the COVID-19 vaccine can continue to do so, said the agency.<\/p>\n
COVID-19 vaccinations are available at participating general practitioner clinics and polyclinics.<\/p>\n
CDA also advised the public to observe precautionary measures and practise personal and social responsibility.<\/p>\n
The key measures include maintaining good personal hygiene such as frequent handwashing and covering one\u2019s nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing.<\/p>\n
People should also minimise social interactions and unnecessary travel when unwell and wear a mask when displaying symptoms such as having a runny nose, sore throat, headache and\/or fever.\u00a0
