The LUMIX L10 (DC-L10) is a new premium compact zoom camera launched in time to mark the 25th anniversary of the LUMIX brand. Urban Sports recognition is a notable step up for skate, parkour, BMX, and street-shooting photographers, since it has historically been a category that traditional AF systems have struggled with. The LX100 II’s contrast-detect AF, in comparison, was the single biggest weak spot reviewers flagged in 2018, and that gap has now been properly closed.

The viewfinder has been upgraded, too.

The L10 carries a 2,360k-dot OLED viewfinder, with the rear screen re-engineered to a 1,840k-dot fully articulated free-angle monitor. Both displays support a vertically optimised UI, which is a LUMIX first and a nod to the fact that much shooting now happens in portrait orientation on social platforms.

Its dimensions are 127.1 x 73.9 x 66.9 mm at 508g with battery, SD card, and hot shoe cover. There is a hot shoe for an external flash or microphone, the aperture ring sits front-and-centre on the lens, and the vertical-shooting UI is a first for the LUMIX line.

For stills, the L10 shoots bursts up to 30fps with the electronic shutter and 11fps with the mechanical shutter. Photo formats include JPEG, RAW, and HEIF, with HEIF supporting HDR (HLG) as well as SDR. The lens has an AF Macro mode that focuses as close as 3cm at the wide end, which is meaningfully closer than most competitors at this price point.

The L10 records 5.6K at 59.94p in 4:2:0 10-bit LongGOP, 5.2K open-gate for vertical-and-horizontal flexibility, C4K (4096×2160) at 119.88p, and 4K at 120p. V-Log claims to offer 13+ stops of dynamic range at sensor outputs of 60 fps or less, dropping to 12+ stops at higher frame rates. A microphone jack is built in, but the L10 has neither a headphone jack nor a full-size HDMI port, which limits its appeal as a primary video body.

For short-form social workflows, the L10 also adds MP4 (Lite) recording, a lower-bitrate MP4 mode aimed at quick social media sharing without the full file-size overhead of standard MP4 or MOV captures. Paired with the LUMIX Lab app’s high-speed phone transfer, it’s a sensible piece of plumbing for creators who post to Instagram or TikTok within an hour of the shoot.

Audio gets serious for those who want it. The camera supports up to 4-channel audio recording via the optional DMW-XLR2 adapter, with 48kHz/32-bit float capture for headroom that effectively eliminates clipping risk during live events.

Creative colour and seamless workflow

The controls at the rear

Photo: Panasonic

On colour, Panasonic adds two new film-look photo styles, L.Classic (soft tones, muted colours, gentle atmosphere) and L.ClassicGold (warm amber highlights, nostalgic contrast), joining the existing L.ClassicNeo style.

The headline workflow feature is REAL TIME LUT with a dedicated LUT button on the body for instant access to colour settings. Panasonic has built a fully themed menu interface for the edition so the on-screen experience matches the exterior, and added what the company describes as “subtly placed rear branding that remains visible only to its owner”, which is the kind of detail that anniversary editions live or die on. The body also supports commercially available screw-in shutter buttons, so collectors can fit their own soft release rather than being stuck with what ships in the box.

The bundled accessories include a Titanium-coloured automatic lens cap, a leather shoulder strap, and a dedicated lens cloth, all unique to this edition. Distribution is limited and routed primarily through the official Panasonic Store, with availability varying by region.

Panasonic used a similar template for the Lumix S9 Titanium Gold Havane in late 2025, a 200-unit Europe-only run that sold out quickly.
