{"id":52660,"date":"2026-05-15T23:28:39","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T15:28:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=52660"},"modified":"2026-05-15T23:28:39","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T15:28:39","slug":"chin-mee-chin-confectionery-to-open-first-branch-after-a-century-lifestyle-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=52660","title":{"rendered":"Chin Mee Chin Confectionery to open first branch after a century, Lifestyle News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/lifestyle\/chin-mee-chin-confectionery-celebrates-100th-anniversary-new-menu-and-exclusive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a hundred years in business<\/a>, Chin Mee Chin Confectionery is opening its very first branch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new outlet is slated to open at Nex mall in the third quarter of 2026, 8days reported on Friday (May 15).<\/p>\n<p>Diners can look forward to enjoying classic menu items such as cream horns, chiffon cakes, luncheon meat buns, and of course, their famous kaya toast.<\/p>\n<p>The original store at Katong will continue to serve customers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Popular for its kaya toast and traditional sock-brewed kopi, the establishment is one of Singapore&#8217;s original coffee shops and has been in business at Katong since 1925.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chin Mee Chin Confectionery shuttered in 2018 and was revived in 2021 by F&amp;B company Ebb &amp; Flow Group, who currently manages it with the founder&#8217;s family, consisting of Sharon Tan and her mother.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the eatery celebrated its 100th anniversary, which coincided with SG60, with a series of activities for three months.
