They claim the owner of the agency, Sam Heedy, took payment for online media packages and failed to deliver videos as promised.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Most are still seeking resolution, despite having made claims at the Small Claims Tribunal, while others have made police reports.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Business owners take to socials to air grievances\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One of them is a\u00a0Singapore business owner who claimed she &#8220;lost S$25,000 working with [local marketing agency BrandTok]&#8221;. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@joannesiawen\/photo\/7638943652131114261?is_from_webapp=1&amp;sender_device=pc&amp;web_id=7558302896011052552\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TikTok post<\/a>, HiCoach\u2019s owner Joanne Sia alleged that despite paying for a content package, the results fell far short of what was promised.<\/p>\n<p>Joanne, 27, who runs the business with her partner Joshua Tan, also 27, said BrandTok, run by Sam Heedy, whose real name is Noor Hidayat Samion, had proposed delivering 60 videos over three months.<\/p>\n<p>Joanne shared screenshots showing an invoice paid on September 18, 2025, and alleged that by January 2026, no videos had been delivered within the initial three-month period. Eventually,\u00a0seven videos were produced, but she claimed they did not meet her expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to 8days.sg, Joanne says even the project manager assigned by the company to them, Madhu, could not contact Sam.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMadhu mentioned she will be in touch to try to get Sam on the call. After many days of postponement, we still could not get hold of him,\u201d she says, showing us screenshots of their conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Joanne requested a refund and brought the matter to the Small Claims Tribunal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On April 26, 2026, the court ordered the company to pay her S$20,600. However, Joanne says that no payment has been made to date and that they have since filed a police report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is frustrating. Especially since Sam has been ignoring us. The money (S$25K) was earned by Joshua slogging under the hot sun, coaching tennis,\u201d says Joanne. \u201cI would never pay upfront again, and instead pay in tranches.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other businesses affected include Kaise Store, whose post went viral as well. Kaise Store&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYLyySETqhD\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Noor Shazniah Rahmat<\/a>\u00a0shared on Instagram that she paid S$8,800 for a TikTok video package but received fewer videos than expected, along with delays.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, digital lock company Kaadas Singapore has stated in comments on IG that it is owed S$8,577.50, based on a court ruling that has yet to be settled.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Not the only clients affected<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Some 10 businesses in Singapore facing the same predicament have banded together in hopes of seeking justice. Helming this is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYM0WubzfS9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel Yeow<\/a>, founder of multi-concept social enterprise\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thesocialspace.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Social Space<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Daniel faced similar issues with BrandTok last year, and he tells 8days.sg that he paid S$5,250 as a 50 per cent deposit for 60 videos across three months.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He tells us that the content delivered did not meet expectations (\u201cthe videos were not usable and had issues like spelling errors\u201d), and that there were delays and difficulties coordinating filming sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel eventually sought recourse through the Small Claims Tribunal, and says that a refund amounting to S$5,250 was made minutes before his court hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Now, he is leading a group of 10 businesses that have also been affected to coordinate their efforts to seek justice.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We cannot work in silos.
