Upon arrival, its officers found a person trapped in the driver\u2019s seat of a van.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The person was rescued using hydraulic rescue equipment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Police said the accident involved two tipper trucks, a prime mover and a van on Woodlands Avenue 12 towards Woodlands Avenue 10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Two men \u2013 a 27-year-old van driver and a 41-year-old prime mover driver \u2013 were taken to the Woodlands Hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The police added that the tipper truck driver, a 36-year-old man, is assisting with investigations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">A photo of the scene, published on Chinese-language daily Lianhe Zaobao\u2019s website, shows the van sandwiched between <!-- -->two vehicles,<!-- --> with its front severely damaged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Zaobao also reported that a man, believed to be the person trapped in the van, was later carried into an ambulance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Earlier on May 12, SCDF <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/person-freed-from-lorry-with-rescue-tools-after-four-vehicle-accident-on-aye-6-taken-to-hospital?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\"><span class=\"font-body-baseline-regular inline\" data-testid=\"paragraph-test-id\">freed another person from the front seat of a lorry<\/span><\/a> using hydraulic rescue tools, after a separate accident involving four vehicles on the AYE during the morning rush hour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Six males  \u2013 four<!-- --> lorry<!-- --> passengers aged between 36 and 63, a 47-year-old <!-- -->motorcyclist<!-- --> and his 41-year-old  <!-- -->pillion<!-- --> rider \u2013 were taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/one-person-taken-to-hospital-after-multi-vehicle-accident-in-woodlands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article At Source <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SINGAPORE &#8211; Two people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle accident on Woodlands Avenue 12 on May 12.
