Scammer introduces himself using different names<\/h3>\n
At the start of the call, which is believed to have taken place on Google Meet, the scammer greets the woman and introduces himself as \u201cSam Jack\u201d.<\/p>\n
He then claims to be from the \u201cCID\u201d, referring to the Criminal Investigation Department, before saying: \u201cYou understand, brother, Singapore Police?\u201d<\/p>\n
While the woman\u2019s reply is unclear, the scammer introduces himself again, this time as \u201cThomas Chon\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cDo you know Singapore Police?\u201d he asks again.<\/p>\n
When the woman says she does not, the scammer questions her response.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy you don\u2019t know, ma\u2019am? That is police station, why you say don\u2019t know?\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
Claims of money laundering and illegal bank accounts<\/h3>\n
The scammer then proceeds to explain the supposed reason for the call, claiming that there are \u201csome people\u201d who are \u201cscamming\u201d and using illegal bank accounts for money laundering.<\/p>\n
