Looks like The Batman: Part II<\/u> will take place, at least in part, during wintertime.<\/p>\n

Director\/co-writer Matt Reeves posted behind-the-scenes images to X<\/u> on Thursday with the hashtag #SnowTires and a bat emoji next to it. <\/p>\n

The post (seen below) reveals the Batmobile driving during a snowstorm. Reeves confirmed in a subsequent response to a fan that these shots are from camera tests<\/u> for The Batman: Part II.<\/p>\n

Reeves also sparked fan speculation about the sequel by sharing a fan\u2019s post of a comic book image of Batman in the snow<\/u>, an image that comes from the cover of Batman (Vol. 3) #57<\/u> that was published in 2018. The cover was illustrated by Tony S. Daniel and Tomeu Morey.<\/p>\n

Written by Tom King, Batman #57 featured the Dark Knight battling the Russian assassin known as the KGBeast. But a Bat-film set during the winter obviously makes fans wonder if Mister Freeze will be in The Batman: Part II. <\/p>\n

Mister Freeze has been rumored for The Batman: Part II for a couple of years now, with gossip that the sequel is set in wintertime first surfacing last year<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Reeves himself addressed the possibility of a \u201cgrounded\u201d version of Mister Freeze<\/u> in his Batman universe back in 2022. <\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Freeze, that’s such a great story, right?” he said. “I think there’s actually a grounded version of that story, which could be really powerful and could be really great\u2026 I just feel drawn to finding the grounded version of everything. So, to me it would be a challenge in an interesting way to try and figure out how that could happen.”<\/p>\n

While the rumor mill claims Sebastian Stan<\/u> and Scarlett Johansson<\/u> are playing Harvey Dent and his wife Gilda in The Batman: Part II, maybe they\u2019re actually playing cryogenic scientist Victor Fries and his ailing wife Nora instead.<\/p>\n

The story of Mister Freeze and Nora was previously told in the Batman: The Animated Series<\/u> episode \u201cHeart of Ice\u201d and in the 1997 movie Batman & Robin, where Arnold Schwarzenegger portrayed the icy supervillain. Freeze also appeared in the TV series Gotham<\/u>.<\/p>\n

Tha Batman: Part II starts filming later this year for an October 1, 2027 release.<\/p>\n
