Ditto <\/strong>is an elusive Pok\u00e9mon in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em>, as it disguises itself and you can\u2019t actually just catch one straight-up.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In order to find Ditto, you\u2019ll want to find the Pok\u00e9mon that it currently disguises itself as. For example, you may see a Diglett, and it\u2019ll stay a Diglett once you tap on it, but it\u2019s secretly a Ditto. Once you catch that Pok\u00e9mon, you\u2019ll be met with an \u201cOh?\u201d prompt, and it\u2019ll turn into a Ditto \u2014 if you\u2019re lucky.<\/p>\n Ditto\u2019s chosen disguises change from time to time, so you\u2019ll want to make sure you know what the disguises are currently if you\u2019re Ditto hunting \u2014 especially if you are after a shiny.<\/p>\n Below, we\u2019ve listed out the current Ditto disguises in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em> for May 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As of Sept. 23, 2025 \u2014 following the “Completely Normal” event \u2014 Ditto can currently be any of the following Pok\u00e9mon in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em>:<\/p>\n Thanks to Grass Cat of PokeMiners and Leek Duck for the help confirming the above.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There\u2019s a few things to know about Ditto and shiny hunting. For one, if you encounter a shiny Pok\u00e9mon that can be a Ditto, it will never be a Ditto<\/strong>. Don\u2019t worry, you won\u2019t lose your shiny.<\/p>\n Finding a shiny Ditto is just the luck of the draw. Any Ditto you find and catch has a chance to be shiny<\/strong>, and the shiny rates are higher than usual. Expert research group The Silph Road says it\u2019s about a one in 64 chance to be shiny (via Wayback Machine).
