The Vivo X300 Ultra <\/b>just launched globally, making it Vivo\u2019s first-ever Ultra-series smartphone to go beyond the Chinese market and into international markets (Sounds familiar? That\u2019s because it\u2019s the same situation for OPPO, too<\/u>).<\/p>\n
Coming to Singapore with the Vivo X300 Ultra is its separately sold teleconverter kit, which adds more zoom range to its ZEISS-powered lenses. Before we touch on that, here are the confirmed details of the Vivo X300 Ultra (after months of teasing<\/u>).<\/p>\nVivo X300 Ultra and its ZEISS Master Lenses Collection<\/h2>\n
The Vivo X300 Ultra is a photography-first, premium flagship-grade Android phone, touting a ZEISS Master Lenses Collection<\/b> for its rear camera modules.<\/p>\n Image: Vivo<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n That is the collective name for its 85mm (telephoto), 35mm (main), and 14mm (ultrawide) lenses<\/b>, and it doesn\u2019t yet include the two teleconverters from its optional Photographer Kit, which consists of the 400mm Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra<\/b> and the 200mm Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2<\/b>.<\/p>\n Vivo calls the 85mm lens ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera<\/b>. It\u2019s a 200MP Samsung HP0 sensor with 60FPS AutoFocus tracking to tackle sports, wildlife, and concert photography. Also included is 3\u00b0 gimbal-level Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) to minimise handheld blur when shooting. The Super Blue Glass lens also comes with ZEISS T* coating to reduce flare.<\/p>\n The main camera is its 35mm ZEISS Documentary Camera<\/b>. While it’s a traditional range for cameras in general, it’s uncommon among smartphone main cameras, which usually have a 23-28mm zoom range. Inside is a 200MP, 1\/1.12-inch Sony LYT-901 sensor (the same sensor as the OPPO Find X9 Ultra<\/u>\u2019s main camera).<\/p>\n The 14mm ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera<\/b> has a 1\/4.-inch, 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with OIS as well.<\/p>\n Image: Vivo<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n The two teleconverters support 200MP optical output photos at 35mm, 85mm, 200mm (with the 200mm tele) and 400mm (with the 400mm alternative). They also pack 60FPS AF Tracking <\/b>to help with its stabilisation and accuracy. Of particular note is the 200mm teleconverter, which is now much lighter<\/b> at 153g when compared to its 210g predecessor.<\/p>\n Finally, Vivo also added a 5MP Color-Sensing Camera<\/b>, which is a 12-channel multispectral and flicker sensor that grants additional colour data and spectral detection to hone its light-reading components. The main camera has an updated Street Photography 3.0 algorithm and SuperRAW support for post-production. Additional chipsets include Vivo\u2019s Pro Imaging Chip VS1+, which is further aided by a Liquid Cooling Vapour Chamber for sustained performance during multifocal 4K120FPS video recordings (and other tasks).<\/p>\n The 6,600mAh battery supports 100W wired FlashCharge and 40W Wireless FlashCharge, with added temperature controls to prevent overheating.<\/p>\n To the front is a flat 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 4,500-nits peak brightness, and 2K resolution quality. Vivo upsells it by calling it a ZEISS Master Color Display, promising that it is a worthy viewfinder for its kitted-out camera system.<\/p>\n Other hygiene factors that contribute to its premium positioning include IP68 and IP69 ratings against dust and water, a 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 sensor, and a Snap-Up Engine communication feature that prioritises computing resources for network readiness when the phone realises you\u2019re trying to buy tickets to a popular concert or sporting event.<\/p>\n Onboard is the international version of OriginOS 6, making it the second flagship-tier bar-type smartphone from Vivo in Singapore to use its true operating system out of the box (the first was Vivo X300 Pro<\/u>), instead of its old Funtouch OS.
