{"id":48669,"date":"2026-04-30T18:38:37","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T10:38:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=48669"},"modified":"2026-04-30T18:38:37","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T10:38:37","slug":"82-agencies-designated-to-manage-child-abuse-cases-from-may-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=48669","title":{"rendered":"82 agencies designated to manage child abuse cases from May 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>TRIAGE ASSESSMENT PANEL<\/h2>\n<p>When two agencies have differing views on the risk level and right siting of a case, they should first attempt to resolve the differences, said MSF.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This includes discussions between the agencies\u2019 service managers, supervisors, and protectors, and they should arrive at a decision within three working days. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After agencies have made reasonable efforts to reach an agreement through these existing collaborative processes, but still fail to do so, they should escalate the issue to TAP.<\/p>\n<p>The TAP will serve as an independent body if there are disagreements between the two agencies.<\/p>\n<p>It will review triage decisions and determine whether the appropriate agency has been assigned to manage a case based on various professional considerations.<\/p>\n<p>CPCM agencies that disagree with the initial triage decision may appeal to the TAP for a final decision.<\/p>\n<p>In its report in October, the review panel that looked into Megan\u2019s death proposed that an appeals mechanism should be established to address cases where there are differing views on risk levels and case management.<\/p>\n<p>The TAP meeting will have two co-chairs \u2013 one from MSF&#8217;s Professional Services Group, and the other will be an independent professional from the sector. They will be joined by two additional independent sector panellists.<\/p>\n<p>The composition of TAP members for each meeting will vary based on relevant expertise.<\/p>\n<p>The co-chairs and panellists are practising professionals who work with families or have expertise in child protection. They are not involved in the cases reviewed by the TAP to ensure neutrality and objectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the TAP must have no current financial, professional or personal relationships with the agencies involved in the reviews.
