Dyson is finally making a Supersonic you can actually bring on holiday \u2013 the Supersonic Travel<\/b>.<\/p>\n

That might sound like a small thing, but if you already own one, you\u2019ll know pain point. You can\u2019t really use it overseas. Not because of size, but because existing models \u2013 including the Nural and r variants \u2013 don\u2019t support multi-voltage.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s essentially the gap Dyson is trying to address here. The Supersonic Travel is designed to work across different voltages seamlessly, so you can bring it from Singapore to places like Japan or the US without worrying about compatibility. To make it easier to pack, it\u2019s also 32% smaller<\/b> and 25% lighter<\/b> than the original. The trade-off is a lower power rating \u2013 1220W<\/b> versus 1600W on the standard Supersonic \u2013 so drying your hair with it could take just a tad longer.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also not just a scaled-down version. Dyson says it had to redesign the internal heater system to make universal voltage work within a smaller chassis, while still maintaining airflow performance and heat control. In the box, you\u2019re only getting a single attachment \u2013 the smoothing nozzle \u2013 but the dryer remains fully compatible with existing Supersonic attachments, so you can still use what you already have.<\/p>\n
