Ubisoft has officially announced a remake of one of its most popular Assassin\u2019s Creed entries. Titled Assassin\u2019s Creed Black Flag Resynced<\/b>, it will launch on 9 July 2026<\/b> for current-generation platforms. <\/p>\n
As a full remake of 2013\u2019s Assassin\u2019s Creed IV: Black Flag, Resynced is rebuilt from the ground up using the latest version of Ubisoft\u2019s Anvil engine, rather than a simpler remaster. Players will once again step into the boots of Edward Kenway, and Ubisoft has emphasized that while the original story remains intact, the game will be expanded and modernised. <\/p>\n
During the game\u2019s reveal, Ubisoft also says Resynced features improved visuals, lighting, and world detail, alongside a reworked combat system that is \u201cfaster and more fluid\u201d than the original. Parkour, stealth, and naval gameplay have also been refined, with smoother traversal, updated mechanics, and more seamless transitions between land and sea. <\/p>\n
It is not just about technical upgrades, though. The remake will include new story content, additional missions, and expanded character arcs, while previously criticised mission types \u2013 such as tailing and eavesdropping \u2013 have been reworked to feel less punishing. That said, some elements from the original release, including multiplayer and certain DLC content, will not be returning.<\/p>\n
Development is being led primarily by Ubisoft Singapore<\/b>, with several members of the original team involved returning. <\/p>\n
Assassin\u2019s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it launches this July. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
