Throughout the close encounter, the boy looked straight and kept running.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully for the boy, the dashcam vehicle was moving at a speed of less than 20kmh and was able to stop in time.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened at Bukit Batok East Avenue 2 towards the junction of Hillview Avenue, according to checks by AsiaOne.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Bukit-Batok-Anderson-Secondary-Boy-Dash-Road-Map.png\" data-entity-uuid=\"b691802c-ac81-40db-8ac1-8befc0e32f88\" data-entity-type=\"file\" alt=\"Map showing where the near-miss at Bukit Batok happened.\" height=\"2000\" width=\"3000\" data-caption=\"Map showing where the near-miss at Bukit Batok happened. GRAPHIC: Google Maps, Facebook\/SG Road Vigilante\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Social media users expressed safety concerns about the boy&#8217;s actions with several pointing out that the dashcam vehicle&#8217;s safe speed possibly made a life and death difference.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Ow wrote: &#8220;Boy, not every time so lucky. Be careful.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another user, Liang Wei Jie called for schools to show such videos to their students as a way of inculcating road safety awareness.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a literally a text book example from the Basic Theory Test.
