The hotel group is part of Central Plaza Hotel, controlled by the Chirathivat family, one of Thailand\u2019s richest business dynasties.<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWe were concerned it could worsen,\u201d Centara\u2019s chief operating officer Michael Henssler said in an interview. \u201cBut interestingly, the market has started to adjust and you can see things stabilising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The group had relied heavily on long-haul travellers, particularly Europeans who often transit through Middle Eastern hubs.
