It\u2019s a busy week for OPPO, not least because it announced its flagship Find X9 Ultra phone. However, we\u2019d be remiss not to mention the release of the Watch X3<\/b>, which comes as the latest flagship in OPPO\u2019s smartwatch line, and a successor to our 2025 Best Android Smartwatch winner, the OPPO Watch X2.<\/p>\n
In terms of looks, the Watch X3 retains the styling of its older brothers: a classic, somewhat understated look, with only a crown, fitness key and touchscreen as input options.\u00a0Speaking of which, the display is a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED<\/b>, with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits<\/b> in Sports Mode (and a typical peak brightness of 1,500 nits).<\/p>\n The OPPO Watch X3 keeps an understated design, though replaces the stainless steel case with titanium alloy.<\/p>\n Image: OPPO.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n The use of titanium alloy for the case is another key upgrade OPPO was keen to point out. While the Watch X3\u2019s predecessor did have a titanium bezel, its case was made of stainless steel. This switch to a case entirely made from a titanium alloy<\/b>, alongside a redesigned internal structure, has resulted in a lighter weight \u2013 43g<\/b>, compared to the Watch X2\u2019s 49.7g.<\/p>\n Amidst other improvements in construction is an IP69 water and dust resistance rating<\/b>, adding to the existing IP68 certification. Its MIL-STD-810H standard and 5ATM water resistance rating remains the same, however, as does the battery life \u2013 3 days<\/b> of heavy usage, 5 days in Smart Mode<\/b>, and up to 16 days in Power Saver Mode<\/b>.<\/p>\n OPPO didn\u2019t actually state which specific W5 chipset it\u2019s using, though the visuals it provided show a W5 Gen 1.<\/p>\n Image: OPPO.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n It also uses the same chipset as the Watch X2: a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 <\/b>in a dual-chip configuration. It also retains a dual-OS setup, with a real-time operating system (RTOS) running low-power tasks, and WearOS 6<\/b> for more complex operations.<\/p>\n The Watch X3 provides a suite of health-related features, including an ECG feature for cardiovascular monitoring, and a 60-second Wellness Overview<\/b> which assess 10 health indicators to provide insight on your heart health, sleep quality, and mental well-being. The watch can also track over a hundred different types of workouts.<\/p>\n Interestingly, the Watch X3\u2019s specs on OPPO\u2019s Chinese website states that it\u2019s capable of blood glucose monitoring as well, via a CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) sensor. We\u2019ll see how that plays out on global models, but it would be a notable addition to the smartwatch.<\/p>\n Just like its predecessor, the OPPO Watch X3 can also provide a health overview in 60 seconds.<\/p>\n Image: OPPO.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n The Watch X3 comes in two colours: Misty Titanium (S$569<\/b>) and Obsidian Black (S$529<\/b>).<\/p>\n However, OPPO is offering a special launch promo that sees the Misty Titanium version going for S$539, while the Obsidian Black version is S$499<\/b>.
