LG Electronics Singapore turned Suntec City into a showcase for its 2026 home entertainment lineup last weekend, unveiling new televisions, audio systems, laptops and monitors under the theme \u201cBeyond Boundaries \u2013 Experience Innovations That Break Limits.\u201d<\/i> Held from 18 to 19 April at the Suntec City Tower 1 & 2 Atrium, the two-day event was the company\u2019s most ambitious Singapore launch in recent memory, wrapping its full 2026 consumer lineup in a Hallyu-inspired public weekend that mixed Korean cultural experiences with hands-on product exploration.<\/p>\n
Fabian Kunho Lee, Managing Director of LG Electronics Singapore, opened proceedings by making clear that the theme was more than marketing copy. \u201cBeyond Boundaries is more than a theme,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is LG\u2019s philosophy of never settling for what already exists, but always asking what could be next.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rather than simply showing a row of shiny screens, LG built the showcase around curated zones, including an LG Art Gallery tunnel, a Home Living Room styled with Castlery furniture, and a Gaming Room fitted with racing simulator setups, alongside a Tea Blending Workshop, Gori Knot Workshop, Origami Workshop, and an AI Photo Booth. <\/p>\n
The LG OLED evo AI W6: the Wallpaper TV returns thinner than ever<\/h2>\n\n

Visitors entering the showcase were guided through the LG Art Gallery tunnel, an immersive walkthrough designed to set the tone before they reached the undisputed centrepiece of the event: the LG OLED evo AI W6<\/b>, better known as the Wallpaper TV.<\/p>\n
Announced during CES 2026<\/u>, the W6 marks the return of LG\u2019s Wallpaper TV format, which was first shown in 2017 and last seen in 2019. LG calls it the world\u2019s slimmest True Wireless OLED TV, pairing that ultra-thin, wall-hugging form factor with True Wireless connectivity through LG\u2019s Zero Connect approach. With its tagline of \u201cGreatness at its Thinnest,\u201d<\/i> the W6 was the product that drew the most attention across the two days.<\/p>\n\n

The OLED evo W6 measures in a 9mm class form factor, achieved through a re-engineering of internal components and miniaturisation of the TV\u2019s architecture, allowing the display to sit flush against the wall using an updated wall-mount system. All external inputs are housed in LG\u2019s Zero Connect Box, which can be placed up to 10 metres away, enabling wireless transmission of video and audio to the display. The TV requires only a single power cable for operation, a change that reduces the cable clutter that often ruins the point of a wall-mounted premium TV.<\/p>\n
Powering the W6 is the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3<\/b>, which features a neural processing unit and introduces a Dual AI Engine designed to manage noise reduction and texture preservation simultaneously. LG says the processor is up to 5.6 times more powerful than the previous generation and delivers up to 3.9 times higher peak brightness than conventional OLED displays through Hyper Radiant Colour Technology, which combines Brightness Booster Ultra with improvements to Perfect Black and Perfect Colour performance. It also has four HDMI ports with all four supporting the HDMI 2.1 standard, LG told us when asked.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
For context, last year\u2019s LG B5 OLED reached around 600 nits in Standard HDR mode in online testing. A 3.9-times increase would put the W6 at around 2,340 nits in the same test, which seems plausible given that the G5 reached almost 1,900 nits. These are pre-review estimates based on LG\u2019s stated multiplier rather than confirmed independent measurements; verified figures would require full lab testing of a retail unit, and real-world performance will still depend on viewing conditions and model size.<\/p>\n\n

The W6 supports a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium certification to reduce screen tearing, and compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync for variable refresh rate gaming. Additional features include a 0.1ms pixel response time and Auto Low Latency Mode. On the smart TV side, the W6 benefits from webOS with Multi-AI integration, combining Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot for voice-based queries, plus a Voice ID system that recognises individual users and automatically loads personalised home screens, widgets and apps.<\/p>\n

Joining the W6 are the LG OLED evo AI G6<\/b> and LG OLED evo AI C6<\/b>, which LG describes as crowd favourites from its best-selling OLED series.<\/p>\n
The G6 features the same Hyper Radiant Colour Technology as the W6, along with Reflection Free Premium certification applying to the 55-inch to 83-inch models. It uses a native 4K\/165Hz panel and the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 with Dual AI Engine, which refines sharpness and texture together for more natural 4K picture quality. Based on LG\u2019s stated figures, the G6 is approximately 20% brighter than last year\u2019s G5, with measurements exceeding 2,400 nits.<\/p>\n
Compared with the 2025 G5, the 2026 G6 appears to focus on brighter HDR performance, stronger reflection handling and improved processing rather than a complete design overhaul. The newer model adds second-generation Primary RGB Tandem panel technology and Reflection Free Premium handling. Some comparisons have the G6 delivering higher full-screen HDR brightness and better reflection handling than the G5 in testing, although the G5 remains a strong TV, especially if discounted.<\/p>\n
For the C6, the upgrade story is a little more nuanced. LG\u2019s Singapore page for the 83-inch C6 highlights Hyper Radiant Colour Tech, Perfect Black and Perfect Colour, a 3.2 times brighter display, and the Alpha 11 AI Processor 4K Gen3 with Dual AI Engine \u2014 bringing the flagship chipset to the more accessible tier of the OLED range for improved video upscaling and a more responsive webOS experience. <\/p>\n
However, online reports suggest that larger C6H models benefit from LG Display\u2019s newer tandem OLED panel, while smaller C6 sizes use a more conventional WOLED setup, so buyers will want to check the exact size and variant before assuming all C6 models perform the same.<\/p>\n

LG also used the event to show its QNED evo AI<\/u><\/b> series<\/u> and LG Micro RGB evo AI<\/b>, aimed at viewers who want large-screen, high-impact images outside the OLED range.<\/p>\n
LG\u2019s announcement for Micro RGB evo describes it as an evolution of Micro RGB technology that uses OLED precision to control individual RGB LED backlights. It is powered by the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 with Dual AI Engine and Dual Super Upscaling, which processes two types of AI upscaling at the same time.<\/p>\n
That makes Micro RGB evo AI one of the more interesting additions to LG\u2019s 2026 display story. It is not OLED, but LG is clearly borrowing from its OLED playbook in how it talks about precision, colour control and AI image processing. The practical appeal should be strongest for viewers who want a very large TV with punchy brightness and colour, especially in brighter living rooms where OLED\u2019s perfect blacks are not the only priority.<\/p>\n
Rounding out the TV lineup, the LG Gallery TV AI<\/b> and the LG StanbyME 2<\/b> offered perspectives on how LG is reimagining the role of the television beyond the traditional living room wall. The Gallery TV AI leans into art and design, while the StanbyME 2 continues LG\u2019s portable-screen concept for users who want something more flexible around the home.<\/p>\n
LG Sound Suite AI Takes Aim at Awkward Living Rooms<\/h2>\n\n

The audio highlight of the event was the all-new LG Sound Suite AI<\/b>, a premium modular ecosystem powered by Dolby Atmos FlexConnect and comprising the H7 soundbar, W7 woofer, and M7 and M5 speakers.<\/p>\n
The H7 all-in-one soundbar delivers 9.1.6 spatial audio on its own and is powered by the same Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3 chipset that drives LG\u2019s flagship OLED TVs. This processor enables advanced AI technologies to refine sound based on the room and the listener\u2019s location. LG describes the H7 as the world\u2019s first soundbar with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect.<\/p>\n
The H7 houses 12 Peerless drivers, comprising front, side, and up-firing units, plus four woofers and eight passive radiators for bass and low-frequency audio. The W7 is an 8-inch wireless subwoofer, while the M5 and M7 wireless speakers can be used either as satellite surrounds with the H7 or as standalone Wi-Fi speakers for music streaming. <\/p>\n
LG allows up to four speakers and one subwoofer, supporting over 50 possible configurations. The system is designed to scale: consumers can start with just the H7 and build all the way up to a full 13.1.7-channel system by adding components over time. When the H7 is used as the primary audio device, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect functions with any compatible TV over HDMI, not just LG displays.<\/p>\n
That flexibility is the big selling point. Dolby Atmos FlexConnect is designed to detect speaker placement and adjust the sound field in real time, making premium surround sound easier to achieve in real homes where sofas, shelves, and awkward floor plans usually get in the way.<\/p>\n
Sound Follow<\/b> is the feature that makes the system genuinely different from conventional soundbar setups. It uses ultra-wideband technology to track the listener\u2019s position and dynamically recentre the audio mix around them, so the experience stays consistent whether you are on the sofa directly in front of the TV or in a chair off to the side.<\/p>\n
Ashim Mathur, Vice President of APAC Marketing at Dolby Laboratories, was present at the Singapore launch to speak about the partnership. \u201cLG Electronics and Dolby are unlocking a new level of audio flexibility for anyone who wants to enjoy better sound with Dolby Atmos,\u201d he said. \u201cWith LG\u2019s new Sound Suite AI and latest lineup of TVs powered by Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, you get premium sound that adapts to your space, no complicated setup, and no compromises. It reflects our commitment to elevating the home entertainment experience and bringing Dolby\u2019s innovations to more households in Singapore.\u201d<\/p>\n
For Singapore homes, where living rooms often need to balance TV viewing, family use, furniture constraints, and neighbours on the other side of the wall, that flexibility is probably the more relatable upgrade than just shouting about bigger sound.<\/p>\n

It is a small detail, but it fits the theme. LG\u2019s 2026 pitch is not only about making products more powerful. It is also about making them easier to live with, whether that means a thinner OLED that sits almost like wall art, wireless TV connectivity that reduces cable clutter, modular audio that adjusts to the room, or portable and lifestyle screens that break away from the traditional TV setup.<\/p>\n
