{"id":45224,"date":"2026-04-17T18:02:47","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=45224"},"modified":"2026-04-17T18:02:47","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:02:47","slug":"we-should-be-celebrating-her-life-socialite-kim-lim-mourns-her-grandmother-who-died-at-107","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=45224","title":{"rendered":"\u2018We should be celebrating her life\u2019: Socialite Kim Lim mourns her grandmother, who died at 107"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013<!-- --> Local socialite and beauty entrepreneur Kim Lim took to Instagram on April 16 to pay a heartfelt tribute to her beloved grandmother, who died at the age of 107.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The post was accompanied by several photos of her and her brother Kiat Lim crying by the elderly woman\u2019s casket and a video of the numerous wreaths at the wake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cI don\u2019t usually post sad things, but my grandma meant too much to us,\u201d Kim Lim wrote. \u201cWe grew up with her by our side&#8230; She took full care of Kiat and I and then Kyden until she was 100+++.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Kim Lim, 34, and Kiat Lim, 32, are the children of Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, 72. Kyden, eight, is Kim Lim\u2019s son with her former husband Kho\u00a0Bin Kai. She also has a one-year-old son who was conceived through in-vitro fertilisation.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cShe was just with us every time, waiting for us to come home and eat,\u201d Kim Lim continued on Instagram. \u201cShe was always just there for us. We are sad, but time will heal. She was 107 so we should be celebrating her life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"responsive-iframe-base instagram instagram-embed\" title=\"instagram embed\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DXK6ih3kvPR\/embed\/captioned\/?omitscript=true\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"accelerometer;falseclipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share;\" loading=\"eager\" data-testid=\"responsiveIframe\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Expressing gratitude to those among her 667,000 followers who sent their condolences, she wrote: \u201c(We\u2019ve) read and acknowledged and know who you are. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Lim also uploaded three photos of her late grandmother posing with her, Kyden and her younger son on Instagram on April 12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cThank you for always loving me, Kiat and Kyden the most,\u201d she wrote then. \u201cLove you ah ma (grandmother).
