Existing customers can continue to access the game via their Steam library.”

As of this writing, Star Trek: Resurgence is unavailable on Steam and on the Xbox store. You can still purchase it on Epic, the PlayStation store, and the Nintendo eShop, but there’s no knowing when exactly it will be removed from those storefronts as well.

Dramatic Labs was founded by former Telltale Games staff, and the Telltale DNA is clear in Star Trek: Resurgence. Released in May 2023, it’s a narrative-heavy game with player choice determining story beats and how character relationships develop. “Star Trek Resurgence offers a space-worthy experience for Star Trek fans. Where other titles have offered a more complete picture of the Star Trek universe — letting players explore the breadth of the galaxy, walk the decks of their favorite starships, or build their own — only a rare few have looked beyond lore toward story,” Polygon’s review says.

Star Trek: Resurgence‘s delisting happened the same day Disney pulled over a dozen games from Steam for the second time this year. A close analog for Resurgence might be John Wick Hex, another indie game based on a popular media franchise. It was delisted over five years after it launched.

With Resurgence being removed from stores, Star Trek fans looking for their gaming fix can at least turn to Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown. It’s a survival-strategy sim, and it received a pretty good reception when it launched earlier this year.

Nothing lasts forever, and that’s especially true in the world of digital video games.
