Responding to queries from CNA Lifestyle, Rachel Lee, marketing director of SM Universe (Singapore), shared that while Sophie Heng\u2019s audition details remain \u201cstrictly confidential\u201d, she \u201cenjoyed the audition and she felt more prepared for the opportunity\u201d after the PTP.<\/span><\/p>\n

The PTP, Lee shared, is \u201cdesigned to simulate the K-pop trainee training system\u201d where students undergo 10 weeks of vocal and dance training in Singapore before heading to Seoul, South Korea for a week-long immersion at the academy\u2019s headquarters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the immersion week, all students can audition for invited K-pop labels in Seoul, while top performers will be chosen for private auditions with SM Entertainment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sophie Heng had exhibited \u201csteady growth and a proactive \u2018trainee mindset\u2019\u201d throughout the programme. \u201cHer consistency and hunger to learn made her a standout candidate for the SM Entertainment audition,\u201d Lee added.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
