Singapore travellers now have a new way to find their next flight, and it does not involve a single dropdown menu or date picker. Skyscanner<\/u>, the global travel search platform used by 160 million travellers every month, has launched its app inside the ChatGPT App Store, extending its flight comparison engine into one of the world\u2019s most widely used AI platforms.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While announced globally earlier, the Singapore rollout was confirmed on 8 April 2026.<\/p>\n
The mechanics are deliberately simple. Travel and hospitality is the top sector in which people use ChatGPT to assist with purchasing decisions, accounting for 18% of such use cases<\/u>, ahead of retail, IT services and food. ChatGPT itself now processes over a billion web searches<\/u> in a single week during peak search cycles, and with 900 million weekly active users globally as of early 2026, Skyscanner is embedding itself inside a platform that has firmly become a first port of call for research across multiple categories.<\/p>\n Skyscanner joins a growing list of travel brands inside ChatGPT. OpenAI first announced it would host apps in partnership with Expedia<\/u> and Booking.com<\/u>, and Hyatt<\/u> and Accor<\/u> have all since launched within the platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n Skyscanner also worked with OpenAI on a different AI-powered search tool called Savvy Search that was launched in 2024, meaning this integration is an evolution of an established relationship rather than a first move. Flight search, long a form-filling exercise spread across multiple tabs, is now available as part of a flowing conversation inside a platform many are already using daily.
