The animated film brought in $34.5 million in the US for its opening day, which is good for the biggest opening day so far in 2026, outpacing Project Hail Mary ($33.1 million).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also the highest opening for a movie that opened on a Wednesday in April in US history, beating a record set by April 2023&#8217;s The Super Mario Bros.
