A police report has been lodged after a lorry driver confronted a bus driver, repeatedly jabbing his finger at him while hurling insults.<\/p>\n
In response to queries from Stomp, SBS Transit spokesperson Grace Wu said that the incident occurred on the evening of March 29, when a Service 88 bus was travelling along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3. <\/p>\n
As the bus approached one of the bus stops, the driver alerted vehicles ahead not to stop within the bus stop zone.<\/p>\n
A commotion later broke out when a lorry driver boarded the bus and directed verbal abuse at the bus driver. The incident lasted about two minutes before the bus resumed its journey, said Mrs Wu. <\/p>\n
TikTok user @kbsebelas shared a video of the dispute<\/a>, showing a man jabbing a finger at the bus driver repeatedly before being ushered off the bus by a woman.<\/p>\n After alighting, he continues to berate the driver. A motorcyclist boards and speaks to the bus driver, pointing towards the lorry driver, before alighting as well.<\/p>\n The bus driver exits the vehicle and is seen making a phone call as the clip ends.<\/p>\n Mrs Wu added that a police report has been lodged in relation to the incident.<\/p>\n Stomp has reached out to the police for comment.<\/p>\n The viral video garnered over 142,400 views, as many netizens expressed disapproval of the lorry driver\u2019s behaviour. <\/p>\n \u201cJust make a report if the driver is at fault, no need to use vulgarities to abuse the bus captain,\u201d one netizen pointed out. <\/p>\n Others agreed that there was \u201cno need to react to that extent\u201d.<\/p>\n Several urged motorists to give way to the bus, pointing out that it was a bus lane, while a number of netizens called for authorities to take action. <\/p>\n According to the OneMotoring website, vehicles are prohibited from stopping within nine metres of a bus stop.
