{"id":41046,"date":"2026-04-01T22:09:36","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T14:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=41046"},"modified":"2026-04-01T22:09:36","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T14:09:36","slug":"saf-to-dispose-of-250kg-world-war-ii-bomb-found-along-tanah-merah-coast-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=41046","title":{"rendered":"SAF to dispose of 250kg World War II bomb found along Tanah Merah Coast Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>SINGAPORE: <span>The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will dispose of a 250kg World War II aerial bomb on Thursday (Apr 2), after it was found at a construction site along Tanah Merah Coast Road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The war relic, discovered during construction works at 4.55am on Tuesday, was assessed as unsafe to move by the SAF Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>It will carry out an on-site disposal of the bomb between 2.30am and 4.30am on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Police said in a statement that the disposal will be contained within the construction site area and areas accessible to the public will not be affected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>\u201cLoud sounds can be expected during the controlled disposal.
